What to ask any electrician for

Four documents, and the licence is not optional in any jurisdiction we know of. A legitimate business produces all four in a minute.

  • Electrical contractor licence

    Ask for the number and check it with the issuing authority yourself — a minute online.

  • Public liability and workers compensation

    Ask for the certificate of currency rather than a policy number, and check the dates.

  • Test-and-tag / RCD testing competency

    Separate from the licence, and the one landlords and workplaces actually need evidence of.

  • EV charger installer accreditation

    Ask before an EV install: some manufacturer warranties and rebate schemes require it.

All four are on file in the office. Ask and we email copies the same day, before the job is booked.
